Original Recording Date: August 23rd, 2017

Guests: Market volunteers, Barb McPhee, Living Better on Less coordinators

If you follow along through our Mobile Studio history, you’ll see that I spoke with founder Barb McPhee about the market, back when we had the mobile studio at Parkwood Gardens.  Well now we’ve finally gotten the chance to collaborate with the market for mobile recordings!   For this episode I spoke with a few long-term market volunteers, including Barb, as well as a couple volunteers who were running a workshop for “Living Better on Less”

The North End Harvest Market is a free fruit and vegetable market intended to support low income families and individuals to meet their healthy food needs.

The Market is open on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 at the small parking lot beside Waverley Drive School at 140 Waverley Drive. In bad weather it will be held at Portable # 6.  Families and individuals can register and only need your name and address to qualify and although the market is open every week, registrants can come every second week.  Find out more by visiting the North End Harvest Market page on facebook

Living Better on Less is a Workshop Series that looks at how we can consume less and reduce our impact on the environment and our wallets.
